eet's that time again~!

THE BASICS: write a Christmas/Holiday wish list. It can be any 10 wishes you'd like to have granted, no matter what they are. Possible or seemingly impossible. People look and grant the wishes if they can. It's not about "OMFG PRESENTS", it's about making someone else's holiday a little brighter by giving. Personally, I get more out of giving than receiving sometimes. It's just a good feeling to give.

STEP ONE

** Make a post in your journal. The post should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fun ("I'd love a Snape/Hermione icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV.") The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.

** If you wish for real possible things, make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you.

** Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your journal, so that others can join in and participate to spread the holiday joy!

STEP TWO

** Surf around your friend list to see who has posted their list. And now here's the important part:

** If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use--or even know where you could get someone's dream purebred Basset Hound for free--do it.

** You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf--to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not--it's your call.

There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Just...wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.

NOW LET'S SEE IT!

1. mixed CDs of people's favorite music / little-known bands

2. home-knitted scarves or leg-warmers

3. scanned sketches that i can line art and color [as a sort of collaboration, not guaranteed great]

4. art trades! [photomanipulation on my side, whatever on the other side]

5. umm... a boyfriend? [no creepers, thanks lol]

6. new icon specifically for me. can be anything.

7. muse for writing again. [-headdesk-]

8. non-metal jewlery [i'm allergic to nickel so if it's metal, it's gotta be hypo-allergenic. preferably home-made]

9. ~piratefang's address so i can send her some books as she did for me last Christmas

10. ~masterwriterblue's address so i can send her the hat i bought the baby three months ago. ^^

please let me know if you've posted this; i wanna grant as many wishes as i can! [although with my financial insecurities right now, can't guarantee much.]

posted this early this year in hopes more people would do so as well.

still alive, i suppose

That's usually good, right?

I got my driver's license a week and a half ago. That was uber exciting. Not that my dad lets me drive very often anyways.

Almost broke my finger on Monday. Went to the doctor and they took X-rays. Not broken, but painful.

My muse is so utterly lacking lately. I drove myself around a bit today with music blasting and that kinda boosted me muse, luckily.

art trades?

This is the first time I've ever done this, but to get my muse flowin' I wanted to see if anyone might be interested in some art trades.

I can do either photomanipulations or written stuff(short stories, poems, etc.), so just ask and I'll tell you if I can manage it. I can also make signatures and icons for roleplaying sites if you'd rather.

If you wanna do a trade, let me know what art you're up to doing in return.

No, really, not dead!

Just thought I'd let y'all know I'm not dead.

(and totally take advantage of being able to use Journal skins. imma savor it while it lasts. <3)

Anyways, it's been killing me how little I write anymore. But I just can't find myself as inspired in the middle of my classes as I did last year. I've been working off-and-on on a piece for a while, but it's still not quite finished yet. I do love the characters, but I can't tell if it's too blah for anyone who's not me... I'll upload it when it's done and you can let me know.

I'd also like to work on some character development stuff, too, but that all depends on what strikes me at the moment.

Oh! I've just recalled that I also started a piece for another character. Not sure how much of that I actually finished, though. Have to check.

Anyways.... whatev.

Share A Little Awareness

i had no idea things were this bad. you hear about it, but brush it off, 'cause, really, it's the other side of the world. then there are those amazing people who show you that it doesn't matter how far away it is, these people still need our help.

i know most of my watchers are either lacking financially or minors, so if you can't make any physical contributions, than please share some love and say a little prayer (or whatever your equivalent might be).

(ps. i'm not remotely amused, but the mood thing is refusing to load again.)
