So I've decided to do something that will help myself progress as a writer. I am going to force myself to write something everyday. For the most part, it will end up being roleplaying posts or little poems, but it will help me learn to inspire muse on my own, instead of waiting for it to come.

I came to this conclusion yesterday. I've decided to keep track of it all in my Journals. So if you don't really read these, best alter your Watcher settings so you won't be bogged down by my Journals every few days.

Yesterday (Monday, April 13):
I started on a Warriors fanfiction I've been wanting to write for years. I know fanfictions are pretty stupid, but I do like writing them. Sometimes it's nice to sit down and write something where the rules are already all set up for you. Plus, I love making up all the extra characters. This one currently lacks a title, but is about four young cats from each of the clans (the original four clans, but with different cats) who are pulled together by a desire to bring peace to their warring forest.

Rosepaw is a sweet-tempered ThunderClanner who worries only for the health of her illness-ridden clan. Spiderpaw, a wiry and intelligent RiverClan apprentice, is driven by an intense longing to untarnish RiverClan's honor from a dark leader who was banished before he was born. Smokefeather is the apprentice of the WindClan medicine cat. He is torn between what his leader orders him to do, and the path his heart longs to follow. Icerose is a ShadowClanner with more loyalty than all the rest. All she wants is to see ShadowClan strive. But that's becoming very difficult as her elderly leader Littlestar decends further and further into maddness. Together, the four of them want only to bring peace back to the forest, even if it costs each of them more than they had ever imagined.

Got about half of the first chapter done. (which really isn't saying much, because it's a short chapter.) Is anyone vaguely interested in me uploading this on dA? If not, I'll just hang on to it all for now.

Today (Tuesday, April 14):

I'm really tired, and I've spent all afternoon actually doing my homework (besides a break to watch some Avatar). So today's work kind of reflects my exhaustion.

I'll just put it here; it's very short...

He took a feeble step back, his heel brushing the edge. He could feel his heartbeat pounding heavily in his ears. This was it. He was staring into the face of what could have very well been the end.

And it was.

The great creature leaped forward, and both man and beast fell backwards into the abyss.

You're thinking, "WHAT?! Wtf?" And all I have to say is...

PRECISELY.


P.S. I'm back to eating meat. It's the most glorious thing EVAR.
